Mooooooommmmmm I'm watching TV!

I had the iPod in the iHome on in the kitchen while making dinner tonight. Apparently, my son doesn't want to hear Yaz while watching his movie, so he tried to block the sound by building this barricade.

Note the cat's confusion as to why his scratcher is in this weird place.

My sweet son agreed to model this girly top as long as I didn't show his face to anyone.

I like the way the top turned out and will probably make some more...the sizing is broad to accommodate a number of sizes.

Honest to goodness, I need to take a check on anything serious.

Only silliness for a few days, please. My creative juices are lagging, which means that real life is dragging me down.

No offense to all who are suffering or hurting or looking for a shoulder to lean on. I'll be back and my liberal bleeding heart will re-commence the bleeding.

I need to bake something sweet, I need to read a girly novel that is not heart-breaking, I need to play with Play-Doh with my kids, I need to knit something fun and full of color.

So, if you are feeling happy or giddy, share with me, please!

Hello, again. It's been a while. I'm finding that in today's technologically-addicted society (me being a member, I'm not acting innocent) I feel spread too thin if I go and write all over the place about my life. I realized today, though, that if I blogged, I could then post the blog on Facebook and Ravelry and the two places would be updated at the same time. Yes, I am a bit slow like that sometimes.

I am going to work early today because it is my daughter's 16th birthday today. Sigh.

She is in the school musical and has rehearsals every night, so the parents provide meals this week. Tonight is my night and I need to get home from work early to cook and bake cupcakes for the overworked-but-musically-talented-children.

She wasn't into a picture this morning when I left so I can't share her sixteen year gorgeousness with you all, but trust me, she's gorgeous inside and out.

Happy Birthday, dear firstborn. I am sorry I had to try out all the parenting techniques out you first.

Biz wise, I've been busy designing a new sock pattern. It is called "Textures Swirl" because it is a spin-off of the design in my "Textures" hat and scarf pattern. Original-no? It's quite fun to knit and perfect for those fingering weight yarns you have in your stash. I don't have it up in my stores yet, but it is available as a kit with some gorgeous yarn and a beautiful bag and other goodies at Necessitae right now. Soon, I'll get it up and will try to get my addled brain to remember to post when I list it.

Have a beautiful day, here it is sunny and gorgeous.
